Hi Everyone! This is my first project here at Sugar Sweet Paper Treats and I am so happy to be a part of this Awesome Design Team..... This card is made from the new Lacey Labels Cricut Lite cartridge and I stitched the ribbon in & out of the design and then made the accordian rosettes for the front, The sentiment is cut out in Mirror Gold. There are a couple of extra pictures you can see on my Blog and you can get to any of our blogs by clicking on our Pictures to the right....

CARRIE'S "STICHED" CHALLENGE
Howdy everyone! Can I just say how super excited I am to be a part of the design team! And I was so looking forward to doing my first challenge. Well, that was until I found out the theme, "stitched". Umm, don't they know that I don't sew? Hee hee.
So, with a purchase I've been eyeing up for a while (the Janome Sew Mini), I was able to whip up something for this challenge. Using some scrap fabric, kraft cardstock (my new fav) and a Stampin' Up sentiment, I did up this little number. Hope you like!

Do you all remember that faux stitched flower card that I made for this month's challenge. Well that was part of a matching set to be sent to my swap partner in the Handmade journal Swap over ont he cricut Message board. There really is no sewing on this, but Cheryll and I both thought that you would all enjoy seeing it. So here is an extra sweet treat for you today. For more details visit my blog LoveLifeCrafts.

Deborah's Stitched Easel Card
This is my take on the challenge. This was a great challenge because it allowed me to try something that I hadn't tried before, sewing on a card, also this is my first Easel Card. TFL.

Father's Day Faux Stitched Wallet
Hi all you Dandi Crafters! I am here at my new design team home Sugar Sweet Paper Treats and couldn't be more excited to post my first project as a member of this great team!
Oh man I was so eager to get my first challenge assignment, then when I got it I was like, "Oh no I don't SEW!!" So you know that left faux stitches. Well I had never done those before either. GASP!! I KNOW!!...OK NOW you don't want to make me feel too much like a crafting freak on my maiden post..LOL I then needed to come up with something that needed stitching so it didn't look like I just added stitching to be done. LOL! So since Father's Day is next week I thought a good faux wallet would do nicely. The wallet is from a SCAL file I designed. I made the design available for you to download on my blog http://www.dtsartblog.com/. The lightening bolt emblem is from Cricut Cartridge Paper Dolls Dress Up, page 56 Accessories 2, no shift key, in the hand book. I also used cuttlebug's embossing folder, Spots and Dots, to give it a bit of texture to add some interest. I look forward to seeing you all again on our next challenge. Just think maybe next time it will be something I am actually good at comfortable with! LOL

Faux Stitched flower card

This is Becca and I have just completed my very first project as a Design team member here at Sugar Sweet Paper Treats as well as my first easel card. I used a ton of faux stitching on this one to go with our sewing challenge . Sorry ladies but I don't sew. I also used my fave technique of making my own background paper. As an extra special treat for you all I decided to share a tutorial with you on how to make this card. Check it out on my blog, there are tons of pictures there to explain it. http://lovelifecrafts.blogspot.com/

My "Sewing" Project By Lynne
Hello out there in blogger land!! I am so excited to post my first project! This wasn't the card I started out making..the sewing machine and I didn't see eye to eye today..I am the first to admit I am not good with my sewing machine but couldn't wait to break it out and give it a try...so I got all excited, started sewing and realized my thread had come out of the needle..okay..easy..fixed that..start again and I end up with a huge amount of white thread under the card (where the bobbin thread comes out) and the only thing on my card was a huge clump of thread all in one spot (like it just kept sewing the same area over and over) ..so I just quit and pulled out my handy "faux stitching" template and did my card like this!
I hope you all enjoy it..there is more detailed information (and me ranting about the sewing machine LOL) on my blog at www.scrapthiscraftthat.blogspot.com

Victorian Challenge

I know I'm late, but here is my project for the Victorian challenge!!! I was given a magnet board that was a horrible dark teal with bright orange magnets!! So I decided to cover it with pretty paper from K & Co. I had the perfect flowers from an old candle ring (it pays to not throw stuff away!! heeheee!!) added some pearls, some lace and voila! Done!! I covered up the magnets with these little cutie pie Tildas from Magnolia!! So sorry the photos are dark, I couldn't figure out how to get them from photobucket where I edited them!!!
Have a happy day!!!
