Cheryll's Black and Yellow Challenge

What can you do with yellow and black? These two colors are commonly associated with bumblebees and taxi cabs, but what else is there? This bag was inspired by Kathy Orta on the Cricut mb. The black has the faux croc technique. Finished size is 8 X 11". Brads heat embossed to match the matte gray rings. I filled the finished bag with biscotti as a gift for my mom.

I think I finally figured it out. I keep finding odd ways to use my cricut so I don't have to cut up any of my pretty paper! The skull is from Indie Art (modified in DS with George) and the flowers are from Accent Essentials. All the details on how I made it are on my blog.

I've finally participated in a challenge again!! It's been too long ... sorry I've been a slacker!

I was naughty and didn't use my Cricut at all on this card. I have kind of been occupied a lot lately with Stampin Up and getting that collection going. So everything on this card except the ribbon is from Stampin Up.

The yellow is SU's Summer Sun. I also used the Summer Sun ink pad to create the pattern on the white paper with one of SU's roller stamps. The sentiment is from the "Just B" set which just barely retired.

Sorry the image isn't that great. I had to use a scanner at work rather than taking a photo like I normally do.

The apples were punched from DCWV Sweet Stack paper, The "Love You" is from the new Cricut Jubilee Cartridge and the ribbon was from the dollar bins at Target.

Chrissy's Strawberry Thank You

The layout is based on MoJo Monday Sketch 82. Paper is My Minds Eye and border punch is Martha Stewart. Strawberry was cut from Indie Art. Diamonds are cut from Nesties. They are actually squares turned sideways. Ribbon from my stash. The flower is Prima with a brad center. Sentiment is Studio G stamp.

Stacy's Fruit Challenge

Ok, so I came up with this challenge because so much of what I have been doing is fruit related lately. I have been on a popsicle card kick (see them on my blog) and then my cousin's fiancee decided that the theme for her wedding shower is going to be pears. Therefore, I am making 80 of these little bags and placecards shown in the pictures below to hold the shower gift. They are all going to be in different shades of yellow/gold and green. The big pear cutouts from this bag and the placecard cutouts are all Home Accents. The little tag on the bag is from Joys of the Season with a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes cut out of it.
