Linda's March Challenge Project
Hi, everyone!
Well, I had no trouble at all figuring out a cut from a cartridge that I had never used since I have several cartridges that I haven't used at all!!! (shhhh... don't tell my hubby!) For my project, I used one of the gates from the Ornamental Iron cartridge, cut at 4". I used the gate behind the captured fairy with the gate itself cut in white cardstock, covered with Diamond Stickles, then cut the layer in blue cardstock to go behind it. I used the same cut on the card but without the layer behind it. I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of this cartridge!
Thanks for looking!!

Deborah's February Submission
This was a great challenge for me, I finally had a reason to decorate one of my Maya Road Tins. I have three of them that I use for storage in my craft room, but never felt like decorating, but this challenge inspired me to get going! I used cardstock, nesties, punches and dies from the UK. I have more pictures of my tin on my blog.

UpCycled Spool Trinket Box
Hi Dandi Crafters! I love boxes! I love to make them, alter them, buy them, put stuff in them. I love boxes! They just capture the imagination. I was very happy to hear this months challenge was to make a box. What a great challenge. I decided to use some stuff I had laying around the house and give it new life and purpose. I made this little trinket box from a used cereal box and a large spool that vinyl comes on. You can visit my DtsArtBlog for more details and more pictures including a view of the inside of the box. Thanks for joining us at Sugar Sweet Paper Treats this month.

February Design Team Challenge
Hi everyone it is my month to pick the challenge. This month the challenge is Boxes. I wanted everyone to design something with a box. The project can be anything but it must contain or be made with a box. I have a customer in my classes that really wanted a calendar for 2011, it was not my original plan to do one this year but I came up with this for both my challenge and for class. I used Paper Lace & Tags Bags Boxes and More, which if you did not have it but have a gypsy it is a free downloand with purchase right now. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Linda's "My Funny Steampunk Valentine" Box
Hi, everyone!
Linda again! Now I'm posting my project. I made this box from scratch using chipboard and the hinge technique. I hand-dyed the lace to pick up the rose color from the papers I used, which are from the Four Seasons stack from DCWV. I threw so much stuff on this box I don't even remember what everything is or where it came from! haha I also used some of my hand-dyed seam binding instead of ribbon. Hope you like it!! (Oh, by the way, I didn't like any of the feet I had on hand, so I used some cut crystal knobs that are intended as drawer pulls. They are really sparkly IRL)
Thanks for checking it out!
Hugs!

Lacy's February challenge Box
Hi, everyone!
Linda here. I'm posting Lacy's project for February. Isn't this just gorgeous??? Lacy has such a talent for victorian embellishment! I love her style!! Here's what she has to say about this project:
"This box was an ordinary box from Michaels with a magnetic closure. I covered it with Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime, added some flowers, Tim Holtz metal corners, a little metal handle, fairies, and bling and it's done! I still need to put some feet on it and thought I had a set but didn't. I also plan to create a matching mini for the inside. Hope you like my altered box."
Here are the pics:
I'm glad Lacy asked me to post this for her. Isn't it just yummalicious??!! She is MUCH too modest about her enormous talent and this gives me a chance to brag on her a little!! hehe
Hugs!

January's Altered Arts Challenge
This month I have the pleasure of issuing the challenge for the SSPT blog, and while I enjoy a large range of crafting techinques my most favorite is altering items. So look around your home, scrap room or visit a Arts & Craft store and find something to alter. It can be a piece of wood, a glass block, paper mache, a clipboard or just about anything! There are two exceptions...... yes you guessed it, no cards or scrapbook page layouts. The prize will be a Cricut French Manor cart. make sure to link your creations below. Happy crafting.....Deborah.

Deborah's January Challenge
For this challenge I decided to alter a glass block for my GD Rian. I used a file from myvinyldesigner.com and some cuts from the Hello Kitty Font cart. I used "etch" colored vinyl to create the frosted look on the block. I threw in some stickers, buttons & ribbon and this is what I came up with. Looking forward to seeing your creations so make sure that you link your project submissions below on the January 2, 2011 post so that you can be entered to win the French Manor cart.
Linda's January Challenge Project
Hi, everyone!
If you are like me, your scrapbooking tools are taking over! I never seem to have enough containers to hold them all. So, I altered a plain old coffee can to serve as a tool caddy. I covered the can with paper, then fussy cut the border and added it. Tons of Stickles were then added to the images. Then, I used my Imagine to create some embellishments for the back side using the Lori's Garden cartridge.(the first picture is the back side with the Lori's Garden images.) Once that was done (you can see the project at this stage in the last pic) I felt it needed some dimension, so I broke out my Viva Decor pearl pen and went to town adding pearl drops to the design. The ribbon isn't ribbon at all! It's rayon seam binding that I colored with alcohol inks! Hope you like it!!
